It was birth out of my love for natural remedies as medicine for the mind and body. I am a certified holistic counselor, who has also experienced the healing wonders of herbs. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with exfoliating cheilitis, and no doctor could find a cure. In fact, medical science does not seem to have an answer for its origin, and therefore, could not provide any cure. I have used every prescription and OTC remedies that I could find, until, I decided to turn wholeheartedly to plants and herbs. It was a long, tedious journey of about 4 years of trying pharmaceutical medicines, and about one year of using herbs, therapeutic poetry and journaling when my life began to make a turn around for the better.

In the early part of 2024, I noticed that my lips were not peeling, or caking up. Do you know how it feels to be able to drink water or wear lip gloss without my lips caking up or scabbing over and then start to peel. There were days that I could not smile, because it pained me so badly. I had to take all liquids through a straw just to keep my lips from getting wet. Every day of the month, My lips were tight and dry, and every morning when I wake up, I had to peel off the thick layer of dead white skin off my lips. It was like a snake shedding, the only difference was that it grew back every day for almost five hears.

At work I had to hang my head down, especially if I forget to peel off the crust during the day, when it accumulated. The stares were embarrassing, and it was the questioning eyes that reminded me that its time to check the mirror. My self esteem and my confidence were shot; I cried sleepless nights! I refused to make new friends or go our with the few that I had. I was depressed, I gained weight and stayed in a bad marriage because I use to cry until crying made no more sense to me. With research, more prayers and the constant help of my mother, I began to immerse myself in herbs, positive words of affirmation, journaling, listening and reciting therapeutic poetry until I gained a new self esteem, and then the healing began to manifest. What took me almost five years to heal, was gone in less than a year.

All praises be to the Most High, and the healing wonders of herbs!

Ezekiel 47:12 - And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.
